Responsibilities:
- Inspect and establish an estimate for work to be done on golf car.
- Communicate estimates with Service Coordinator and customer.
- Plan work procedure maintaining quality and safety.
- Raise golf car with hydraulic jack or hoist to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside.
- Remove units such as engine, transmission, or differential.
- Disassemble and inspect unit for wear.
- Repair or replace parts such as gears, valves, and bearings.
- Overhaul or replace carburetors, generators, distributors, starters, and pumps.
- Rewire ignition system, lights, and instrument panel.
- Reline and adjust brakes, align front end, repair, or replace shock absorbers.
- Replace and adjust headlights, and install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
- Install or repair electric motors, battery systems, and charging systems.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two (2) year college or technical school; or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers, copiers, and fax machines.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must remain professional, responsible, and cooperative always and consistently produce quality work while meeting deadlines.

Engine Service Associate

Positions available in multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate estimate with appropriate person, Service Coordinator / Customer.
- Plans work procedure to maintain Quality and Safety.
- Raises cart, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle.
- Adjusts points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps, using feeler gauges.
- Reassembles engines after repair or maintenance work is complete.
- Records repairs made, time spent, and parts used.
- Obtains problem descriptions from customers and prepares cost estimates for repairs.
- Tests and inspects engines to determine malfunctions, to locate missing and broken parts, and to verify repairs, using diagnostic instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts such as magnetos, water pumps, gears, pistons, and carburetors, using hand tools.
- Sells parts and equipment as part of their job function.
- Shows customers how to maintain equipment.
- Removes units such as engine, transmission.
- Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear.
- Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs, or replaces shock absorbers.

Facilities Technician

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to The Villages core ideology
- Follow all service / production/ safety procedures
- Perform Maintenance duties in buildings and warehouses
- Clean up and maintain work area
- Perform installation and maintenance of equipment
- Perform electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed
- Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of small machinery as needed
- Perform light sweeps on all facilities as needed
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment
- Maintains outside grounds areas at production facility

Retail Sales Support Associate
| Updated: 10/17/22This position has direct contact with customers, both on the phone and in person. Assist customers with rental process, assist sales associates with processing transactions, transacts sales and rentals on register. Answers incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming telephone calls as needed
- Receives payment, deposits, gift certificates or obtains credit authorization
- Help customers with small parts/accessory sales onsite when necessary
- Process new car sales and reservations for rental cars
- Assist sales associates by checking addition, monitoring deliveries of golf cars and processing finance requests
- Handle cash transactions, process credit memo’s, refunds, deposit slips and return authorizations
- Print invoices, thank you letters, window stickers and reports to process daily cash sheet
- Opening and closing register
- Complete daily cash sheet and get all paperwork to the accounting department by 10 a.m.
- Reports sales and deliveries
- Inventory and order office supplies
- Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying and collating
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 1 year of paid customer service experience in an office environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience focusing on public interaction
- Able to adapt from a low to high volume amount of work while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Service Expeditor
Full Time | Updated: 09/16/20Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for expediting the flow of golf cars coming in and going out for service as well as the newly built golf cars while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and store golf cars.
- Assign a number to each incoming car and submit paperwork to the appropriate staff member for the purpose of expediting the work to be completed.
- Assist in unloading and checking in new golf cars from Production.
- Communicate with other department leads/supervisors.
- Keep area clean and orderly at all times.
- Understand and adhere to The Villages Core Ideology.
- Assist in other areas as assigned by supervisor.
- Attend all service team meetings.
- Participate in “Fun Shops” hosted by The Villages University or any other continuing education sessions.
